Design and display

The design of the Realme Narzo 70 and Realme Narzo 70 Pro is similar to many of the other Realme smartphones launched in 2024. However, it is not as premium as the others, so there are no faux leather options here. Both feature a simple polycarbonate design but are durable and do not flex at all.

Both smartphones feature a flat design with a flat back panel and side bezel. This is a newer design that users love and it looks good on new smartphones. But design isn’t everything and a lot goes into creating a premium smartphone, including using a powerful display and hardware, and the new smartphones certainly excel in both areas.

Both smartphones have the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz high refresh rate support. However, there is a difference between the displays of the two smartphones in terms of brightness. The display panel of the Realme Narzo 70 can have 1200 nits of brightness, while the Realme Narzo 70 Pro gets 2000 nits of brightness during maximum sunlight. On top of that, both smartphones are protected by IP54 dust and splash resistance.

Memory and internal

Both the Realme Narzo 70 and Realme Narzo 70 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, which is capable of reaching clock speeds of 2×2.6 GHz. This Dimensity 7050 chipset can run almost anything without any issues, including apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat and more. This level of performance is also seen on the gaming side.

In fact, the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU inside the chipset is quite powerful and can run all your favorite games like PUBG Mobile, Summoners War, Genshin Impact, and CODm with high frame rates. Both smartphones run on the latest Android 14 out of the box with Realme UI 5 user interface for better customization support.

Both phones also have 5G connectivity, so enjoy gigabit-level speeds and low-latency gaming. In terms of RAM and storage, the Realme Narzo 70 can be purchased with up to 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While the Realme Narzo 70 Pro can be purchased with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage.

Camera

The Realme Narzo 70 features a 50MP dual rear camera setup, while the Narzo 70 Pro features a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Both smartphones have the same 50MP main camera and are capable of taking decent photos with good levels of detail, high dynamic range and natural color tone. The Realme Narzo 70 Pro has an additional 8MP ultra-wide camera that is below average in terms of detail levels, but the color tone is quite similar to that of the main camera.

Both smartphones also have the same 16MP selfie camera, which manages to capture more than decent selfies with high details on the subject’s face. When it comes to video recording, both smartphones can record videos with a maximum resolution of 1080p from the rear camera and the selfie camera. The rear cameras of both smartphones also support gyro-EIS for better video stabilization.

Battery and others

Both Realme Narzo 70 and Realme Narzo 70 Pro have the same long-lasting 5000 mAh battery, so both have similar battery life. New smartphones can easily last 1-2 days with average usage including some texting, social media apps, watching videos, etc. But with heavy use and gaming, the battery will drain faster.

But there is nothing to worry about since both smartphones have fast charging. The Realme Narzo 70 supports 45W fast wired charging which should charge the phone to 50% in 30 minutes. But the Realme Narzo 70 Pro supports even faster 67W wired charging, which should charge the phone to 50% in just 20 minutes.

Apart from that, both smartphones have Wi-Fi, an under-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C. However, the Realme Narzo 70 has Wi-Fi 5, while the Realme Narzo 70 Pro has Wi-Fi 6. As for the price, the Realme Narzo 70 is available starting at $191 (Rs 15,999 in India) approximately. Conclusion

Both Realme Narzo 70 and 70 Pro offer excellent performance and battery life with decent cameras. If you need a smooth user experience and high gaming capabilities, the new phones are perfect for that. It can easily keep up with modern mobile games, so it offers a lot of value there. Even the screen is pretty good and the design looks pretty good too.

They even have 5G connectivity. But it’s hard to call them premium when they don’t have premium components. However, considering the price, the specifications within the two smartphones certainly seem superior in comparison. The price is what makes the two smartphones good value for money. If you want to get the best bang for your buck, they are really good options.

While both smartphones are pretty good, the Pro model brings an extra camera lens and faster charging. Additionally, new smartphones are protected against dust and splashes of water, so keep that in mind as well. If you want alternative options, Poco X6 and X6 Pro are two great options. Both come with better specs for a slightly higher price. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
