Design and display
The design of the Cubot X90 is simply beautiful, especially in the green color, although it looks more like black. The other one is black in color which also looks quite fascinating due to the unique print on the back. The phone features a curved design that looks as premium as it feels. The screen, side bezel and back panel are all curved, which looks really good.
Speaking of display, the Cubot The panel also has an FHD+ resolution and supports up to one billion colors, so viewing content on the screen will be incredible. The display can also reach a brightness of up to 1500 nits in direct sunlight, so using the smartphone in direct sunlight will not be a problem.
Memory and internal
The Cubot However, this is not enough considering the price range of the smartphone. Other phones in this price range offer much better and much more powerful chipsets.
As for gaming, this chipset has the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, which can run games like PUBG mobile, CODm, and even Summoners War at relatively smooth frame rates. The Cubot X90 runs on Android 14 operating system with a standard UI for a better experience. However, Cubot failed to equip the smartphone with 5G connectivity to save costs.
However, the smartphone is equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The higher RAM capacity is useless on this phone as the chipset is not fast enough to fully utilize it. Additionally, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack or support for a microSDXC expansion slot to expand its internal storage later.
Camera
The Cubot X90 comes with a 100MP triple camera system. The main camera features a 100MP sensor that is capable of capturing images with great detail, decent color levels, and high dynamic range. There’s also a 16MP ultrawide camera, which is just as impressive as the main camera. The details are good and the colors don’t look washed out.
There’s another 5MP sensor for macros, which is nothing out of the ordinary but gets the job done. On the front of the Cubot X90, there is a 32MP selfie camera, which takes amazing selfies with excellent details and natural colors. Selfie details look sharp even if you zoom in. As for video recording, the Cubot X90 can record at a maximum of 1080p@30FPS from both the rear camera and the selfie camera.
Battery and others
The Cubot X90 has a high-capacity 5100 mAh battery, which offers excellent battery backup every day. Thanks to this huge battery, the smartphone can easily last 2 days or even more, especially with lighter usage including cameras, social media, etc. But with games, the battery will drain faster.
Apart from that, the smartphone supports 33W wired fast charging and comes included in the box. This charger can fully charge the battery in about an hour and a half. Apart from that, the phone also has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, an under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone is available for purchase for $270 (Rs 22,590 in India) approximately.

Conclusion
The Cubot X90 comes with everything a decent mid-range smartphone should have. It has a more than decent display with accurate colors, a high refresh rate, and more. The same goes for the camera, which is great and has a great ultra wide angle camera. The battery is also equally impressive, easily offering 2 days of battery life.
The best part of the phone is its design and the curved screen, which is impressive and very eye-catching. However, this is where the good things end. This is because it has an average chipset and other phones in the same price range are offering better chipsets. On top of that, there is no 5G either. While the other things about the phone are great, the chipset and lack of 5G are its biggest drawbacks.
We would rather recommend the Vivo iQOO Z9 Turbo, which costs $30 more and offers a much better chipset, display, video recording, battery, and charging capabilities. It is a better smartphone in all aspects. However, the final decision is up to you, so choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
