Honor Magic 7 and 7 Pro smartphone review: The Honor Magic 7 and 7 Pro were announced in October 2024 in China and started shipping in early November. At the moment they are only available in China, but they will soon go on sale globally like other Honor phones. Both smartphones come with flagship specifications inside, including faster 5G connectivity.
The two phones also feature a design that looks eerily similar to its predecessor. The only thing that is different in the design is the camera module, which looks a little different. However, Honor believes that the updated internal components will be enough to attract Gen Z users. The design of the Honor Magic 7 and 7 Pro is similar to its predecessor, but has some interesting improvements to keep it interesting. Camera
The Honor Magic 7 features a 50MP triple rear camera system, while the Magic 7 Pro features a 200MP triple rear camera system. The two phones have the same main and ultra-wide-angle cameras, but different camera sensors for the zoom lens. Let’s start with the main camera.
Both phones have the same 50MP main camera, which can take fantastic photos with levels of detail that exceed our expectations. The Honor Magic 7 has a 5650 mAh battery, while the Honor Magic 7 Pro has a 5850 mAh battery. Both are high capacity batteries and can provide 1 to 3 days of battery life with light use. However, if you play a lot of video games, neither smartphone will last you a full day. Games tend to consume quite a bit of chipset usage and consume a lot of power, so it’s hard to get a full day of battery life when you play a lot of games.

Honor Magic 7 and 7 Pro are two fantastic phones. They offer everything a flagship phone should and then some. Be it the build quality, screen, chipset, camera, battery or charging speed, they are all excellent. They also have the world’s fastest Android chipset, so you can run some of the most graphically demanding games at high frame rates.
The performance of the camera is exceptional and exceeds its price category. Even the battery and charging capabilities are quite good. Both are excellent phones and considering the price they launched, we can easily recommend them. The difference between the Honor Magic 7 and the Honor Magic 7 Pro is that the latter has a slightly larger screen, a better telephoto camera, and a larger battery.
The only decent alternatives to these two phones are Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. They have similar specifications and their prices are quite similar as well. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
