The Honor Magic V3 is the new foldable smartphone announced in July 2024 with a price tag of $1,270 (Rs 1,05,999 in India) approximately. The smartphone comes with Android 14 OS out-of-the-box with MagicOS 8.0. 1 for better customization support. The chipset powering the new Honor Magic V3 is 8nm Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 3 Gen 4 processor with a clock speed of 1×3.3 GHz. The new Honor Magic V3 comes with up to 12GB/ 16GB of RAM and 256GB/ 512GB/ 1TB of internal storage while there is no secondary card slot.
The Honor Magic V3 sports a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom capabilities with OIS support. This is a 20MP selfie shooter and the same 20MP cover selfie camera that can take great selfies with a good amount of detail. When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can record up to 4K at 30/60 FPS at 10-bit and the footage is stabilized with OIS, HDR10+, and gyro-EIS. While the selfie camera can only record videos at a maximum of 4K at 30 FPS with gyro-EIS.
The Honor Magic V3 has a 5150mAh Si/C battery, which can provide a full day of battery life, even with medium to heavy usage that includes a bit of photography, video streaming, and gaming. Even if the smartphone runs out of juice, the 66W wired charger will quickly top it up, not to forget that there is also support for 50W wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging. The foldable phone comes in Velvet Black, Snow, Tundra Green, and Red colour options.
The Honor Magic V3 smartphone has a dual display, the foldable display is a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED High display while the cover display size is 6.43-inch LTPO OLED. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate and support 1B colors. The foldable display is protected by King Kong Rhinoceros and the phone has an IPX8 water resistance rating. As for brightness, the foldable display has a high brightness rating of 1800 nits while the cover display has a brightness of 2500 nits, also the cover display has Nanocrystalline Glass 2.0 protection.
