Design and display
The Oppo F27 smartphone features a great design and looks quite similar to the Honor phones. The sides and back panel are flat, making it difficult for the phone to slip out of your hands. The body is made entirely of plastic, but its eye-catching design and choice of colors make it look more premium. It is available in emerald green and amber orange colors.
The design of the smartphone is a key selling point. Additionally, the smartphone is also protected by IP64 dust and splash water resistance, so it should be fine in light rain. But don’t go into the pool with this smartphone.
As for the display, the phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz. This is an FHD+ AMOLED panel, so it has a fantastic contrast ratio and provides a great viewing experience. fantastic. This panel can also reach a brightness of up to 2100 nits in direct sunlight, so you won’t have any problems using it outdoors.
Memory and internal
The Oppo F27 features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, which is capable of clock speeds of up to 2×2.4 GHz. Running any app or game will not be a problem on this chipset, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat and more, but don’t expect super fast app startup or anything like that. This chipset doesn’t have that kind of performance. It has enough to run most everyday applications decently.
Also, since we’re talking about performance, let’s not forget about gaming. Its Mali-G57 MC2 GPU will allow you to access games like PUBGm, Summoners War, Black Desert Mobile and even CODm at relatively smooth frame rates. Furthermore, the smartphone is 5G ready and can easily achieve gigabit download speeds and incredibly low latency during online gaming.
For memory and storage, the Oppo F27 is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of fast UFS 2.2 internal storage, which can be expanded later with a microSDXC slot. The smartphone also comes with Android 14 out of the box with a ColorOS 14 UI for more customization options.
Camera
OPPO equipped the Oppo F27 with a 50MP dual rear camera setup. Its 50MP main camera manages to capture good shots with a decent level of detail and accurate color tone. The camera performance is more than decent, but we expected more, considering this is an Oppo smartphone. The secondary camera has a 2MP sensor, which is practically useless.
The selfie camera on the front has a 32MP sensor, which is quite decent and manages to capture selfies with fine details and adequate color tone. The skin textures of the subjects look more than enough. For video recording, the rear camera can record videos at a maximum resolution of 1080P@60FPS with gyro EIS, while the selfie camera can only record at 1080P@30FPS.
Battery and others
Oppo F27 smartphone has a 5000 mAh battery that can provide 1 to 2 days of battery life with light usage including watching videos, instant messaging, Instagram, camera, and more. This great battery life is only possible thanks to the use of a high-capacity battery and an efficient processor. However, playing all day will drain the battery faster.
The smartphone also supports 45W wired fast charging, which can fully charge the smartphone in about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Apart from that, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, an under-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone starts at $274 (Rs 22,900 in India) approximately.

Conclusion
The Oppo F27 is OPPO’s newest 5G smartphone that was designed to impress and it has certainly achieved that with that design. The screen is also fantastic and bright enough for outdoor use. Battery life and charging speed are also quite good. Apart from that, the smartphone has 5G connectivity and also has water resistance.
However, that’s where the good ends. The performance of apps and games is not that good. Don’t get us wrong. The performance is decent, but considering the price the phone launched at, it should have been better. Other phones in this price range have much better chipsets. On top of that, the camera performance is also not acceptable for this price. It only has one camera on the back and the rest are gimmicks.
The best alternative to this smartphone would be the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, which has much better specifications for a higher price. It even has three proper cameras on the back, which are pretty good. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
