Realme GT 7 Pro smartphone review
Realme GT 7 Pro Smartphone Review: The Realme GT 7 Pro was announced in November 2024 in China and went on sale on the same day. The new smartphone left China and is heading for a global launch. On November 26, 2024, it will be released in India, closely followed by other countries. This phone is designed to be the best gaming phone out there, so it has some of the most powerful internals and fast 5G connectivity.
Looks-wise, the Realme GT 7 Pro looks quite similar to the Xiaomi 15, which was also launched a few weeks ago. Realme is banking on smartphone performance being the unique selling point of this phone. How true that is remains to be seen, but from a hardware point of view, this smartphone seems to be aimed at hardcore gamers. Let’s start with a detailed review of the Realme GT 7 Pro smartphone and find out if it is worth buying.

Design and display
The Realme GT 7 Pro features a gorgeous design similar to the Xiaomi 15, especially when viewed from the rear. The side and center frame are made of aluminum, while the back is glass. The phone is available in three special colors: Mars Orange, Galaxy Gray and White. Combine all that and you get a phone that not only looks premium but also feels really great in hand.
The design is overall flat with beveled edges, offering a comfortable and practical grip. The entire smartphone is protected with an IP68/69 water and dust resistance rating. On the front, you get a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display supporting a high refresh rate of 120Hz, which will provide a smooth user interface.
This panel comes with a resolution of 1.5K, which is capable of displaying up to one billion colors, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, which has superior image quality. However, there is hardly any Dolby Vision content, but the phone supports it. The screen can reach a maximum brightness of up to 6500 nits in direct sunlight, so you won’t encounter any problems using the phone outdoors. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Memory and internal
The Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G chipset, which is capable of reaching a clock speed of 2×4.32 GHz. This is the fastest Android chipset, even faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It can reach 4.32 GHz, which is absurdly high for a mobile chip, so it can run anything you throw at it.
The same goes for your Adreno GPU. In fact, the Adreno 830 graphics chip can easily run any game you throw at it, PUBGm, Summoners War, CODm and Genshin Impact at high graphics settings and the highest frame rate. This phone also has 5G connectivity, which offers gigabit-level speeds and allows for low-latency gaming.
It also comes with Android 15 out of the box, along with Realme UI 6.0 for better customization support. In terms of memory and storage, the Realme GT 7 Pro is available for purchase with 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB of RAM and fast UFS 4.0 internal storage.
Camera
The Realme GT 7 Pro features a 50MP triple rear camera setup. The 50MP main rear camera comes with OIS support and can capture excellent photos with high levels of detail and saturated colors. The second camera on this smartphone is an 8MP ultra-wide camera, which takes some average-looking photos. The detail levels and color tone of this camera are not entirely comparable to the main camera of this smartphone.
The third camera has a 50MP sensor, which can capture images at 3x optical zoom levels. The performance of this camera is truly impressive and comes close to the level of detail seen on the main camera. This triple camera setup is great. However, other flagship smartphones have slightly better performance, but also cost much more.
The Realme GT 7 Pro also supports night mode, which offers excellent stellar night photos, thanks to its fantastic algorithm and OIS. On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie sensor, which can capture some pretty good selfies with natural colors, a good amount of detail and skin tone.
When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can record videos up to 8K@24FPS, but the selfie camera can only record videos up to 1080p@60FPS. Videos recorded with the rear camera are also quite stable thanks to OIS and gyro-EIS. The same can’t be said for the selfie camera, however, as there’s no OIS or gyroscope.
Battery and others
The Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with a 6500 mAh silicon carbide battery. This battery composition has allowed Realme to include a much higher capacity battery, which should provide at least 2 to 3 days of battery life with light to medium use that includes using the camera, music, texting and a bit of social networks. . However, the battery will drain much faster and won’t last a full day if you play a lot of games.
For charging, the phone supports super fast wired charging up to 120W, which can fully charge the smartphone in 30 to 37 minutes. Apart from that, the smartphone supports tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, NFC, infrared sensor, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone will start at $880 (Rs 59,998 in India) approximately.

Conclusion
The Realme GT 7 Pro is designed to deliver a flagship-level experience at a comparatively much lower price, and it certainly achieves that. Every aspect of this smartphone features a flagship-level component, be it the display, performance, camera or battery. The display features a fantastic panel and features some of the most advanced technologies.
The design is also quite elegant and the phone is made of premium materials, metal and glass. The colors are also quite attractive. The gaming performance is absolutely incredible and you will have no problem running the most graphically demanding games on this phone. It even has 5G connectivity, which offers better 5G quality and reduces latency in online multiplayer games. This level of flagship quality is also seen in the camera, battery and charging.
The best part about the Realme GT 7 Pro is its price which is simply amazing and gamers will love it. The best alternative to this smartphone is the OnePlus 12R, which is still not comparable to the Realme GT 7 Pro either in gaming performance or other aspects of the phone. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
