Additionally, Qualcomm also offers a Samsung-exclusive variant “Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy”, which features a 100 MHz higher frequency, reaching an impressive 3.40 GHz. This exclusive release aims to improve the overall performance of the Galaxy S24 series.

Geekbench, the popular benchmarking platform, offers a closer look at the Galaxy S24 Ultra across three distinct models: SM-S928U, SM-S928B and SM-S928N. Initial testing in October revealed using the standard 3.30GHz version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3.

However, curiously, subsequent tests carried out in November 2023 and January 2024 reveal a strategic upgrade. The SM-S928U and SM-S928B models upgraded to the high-frequency 3.40 GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen3, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to optimizing performance even in the final stages before launch.

The SM-S928N model followed a similar trajectory, initially tested with the 3.30 GHz variant on January 3. Yet, just two days later, on January 5, it underwent an upgrade to the 3.40 GHz version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. This synchronized change between models suggests a deliberate decision by Samsung to improve the processing power of the Galaxy S24 series.
