The Vivo Y200e doesn’t look much different from the Vivo Y200 or other Vivo smartphones. It has a flat design reminiscent of the iPhone design and that’s a good thing. The flat edges provide a better grip, so the smartphone will not easily slip out of your hands. It also looks and feels much more premium thanks to the use of vegan leather. It provides a soft touch feeling that is quite premium. The smartphone is available in two colors, Black Diamond and Saffron Delight.

The smartphone also has an official IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance. On the front, Vivo Y200e features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. This display panel features FHD+ resolution supporting a high refresh rate of 120Hz for a better user experience. The display can also reach a brightness of up to 1800 nits at maximum brightness levels in direct sunlight.

Memory and internal

Vivo equipped the Vivo Y200e with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G chipset. In terms of performance, the chipset will run quickly with any application or game as it is capable of reaching a clock speed of 2×2.2 GHz. You will not find any slowdowns in daily use or even during gaming. Speaking of gaming, the Adreno 613 GPU will take care of all your basic gaming needs.

Playing games like PUBGm, Summoners War and even CODm will not be a problem. You will get a relatively smooth gaming experience. The smartphone also supports 5G connectivity for gigabit speeds. The smartphone also comes with Android 14 out of the box along with a Funtouch 14 UI. As for memory and storage, the Vivo Y200e is available for purchase with up to 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. fast UFS 2.2.

The Vivo Y200e features a 50MP rear camera setup. The main rear camera consists of a 50MP sensor and photos taken with this sensor tend to have excellent details and high dynamic range. The color tone in the images is also a fairly natural detail, especially in outdoor photographs. There’s also portrait mode and the 2MP depth sensor helps a little here. Portraits taken with this mode are also quite good with decent levels of background blur.

On the front, the Vivo Y200e has a 16MP selfie camera. This camera takes some decent selfies with natural color tones and fine details on the subjects’ faces. When it comes to video recording, both the rear and selfie cameras can record videos with a maximum resolution of 1080P at 30 FPS. But there is no gyroscopic stabilization of any kind.

Battery and others

This high capacity can run the smartphone for 1 to 2 hours with light to medium use that includes using the camera, music, and a little bit of social media. But playing a lot of games will drain the battery much faster and require a recharge at the end of the day.

As for charging, the Vivo Y200e supports 44W wired fast charging, which can charge the smartphone from 1% to 32% in just 15 minutes. Apart from that, the smartphone supports dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, an under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone will start at $241 (Rs 19,999 in India) approximately.

Vivo smartphones are a big hit in the Indian offline market and the Vivo Y200e is one of them. It offers various features and capabilities compared to other smartphones in the offline market. There’s a lot going on for the Vivo Y200e. It looks and feels premium, certainly more so than other smartphones in the same price range.

It also comes with an excellent screen, chipset, camera and even battery. The screen, in particular, is a super panel that is color accurate and can become extremely bright in outdoor situations to provide the best possible experience. There are also some downsides, such as there being no ultra-wide-angle or telephoto camera. Secondly, there is no screen protection, so you will need to apply external tempered glass to protect the screen in the long term.

However, the smartphone has the best connectivity options. Considering everything it offers, it is not a smartphone with good value for money. But in the Indian offline market, Vivo smartphones are a big hit and tend to sell well. The best alternative to the smartphone would be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13, which offers screen protection and an ultra-wide camera. Therefore, it addresses the shortcomings of the Vivo Y200e. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
