Honor Magic 6 Series is official now
Honor officially launched the Honor Magic 6 series this evening, including two models: Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro. Additionally, they presented the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design Edition at the conference.
Among them, the Honor Magic 6 series, the camera module inherits the family style of “eye of the muse”, incorporating pillow-shaped elements for a square-round body. The back cover features new Chinese cultural elements and design inspired by beautiful mountains and rivers.
The color palette includes four models: White, Green, Wheat Wave Green and Liuyun Purple, as well as Velvet Black. The Magic 6 is 8.1mm thick, with the glass version weighing 206g and the vegetable leather version weighing 199g. The Magic 6 Pro is 8.9mm thick, with the glass version weighing 229g and the vegetable leather version weighing 225g.
On the front, the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro differ in design. The Magic 6 features a single-hole centered display, while the Magic 6 Pro features a pill-shaped cutout, incorporating a 3D facial recognition component.
The display specifications of Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro are almost identical. The Magic 6 features a 6.78-inch fully symmetrical isometric micro-curved display with a resolution of 2800×1264. On the other hand, the Magic 6 Pro features a 6.8-inch floating quad-curved display with a resolution of 2800×1280.
Both displays have 453 ppi, a 120 Hz refresh rate, full Dolby Vision support, a global maximum brightness of 1,600 nits, and a local maximum brightness of 5,000 nits (minimum 2 nits). They also feature giant rhino glass, 10x better drop resistance, and the industry’s highest 4,320Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. Other features include natural light eye protection, sleep display, hardware-level low blue light, natural color display, and global eye protection 3.0 certification from TÜV Rheinland.
The Honor Magic 6 series is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3, featuring exclusive GPU Turbo X technology for enhanced gaming performance. The front camera is 50 MP and the rear setup includes a 50 MP OmniVision OVH9000 main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32 MP subliminal telephoto lens for the Magic 6. The Magic 6 Pro adds a sensor camera deep TOF au on the front and a 180 MP periscope telephoto lens on the back, supporting OIS and featuring a variable aperture for the main camera ranging from f/1.4 to f/2, 0.
Both models use the second generation of the Qinghai Lake battery, with the Magic 6 housing a 5,450mAh battery supporting 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The Magic 6 Pro features a 5600mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging. The series also includes a self-developed RF enhancement chip, C1+, improving the transmission and reception gain.
Honor Magic 6 Pro supports Honor’s Hongyan communication, enabling direct connection of the mobile phone to satellite services for real-time voice and two-way SMS. The series runs on MagicOS 8.0, with intent recognition for human-machine interaction.
Prices of the Honor Magic 6 series vary: the Magic 6 has three versions, with the 12+256GB priced at 4,399 yuan, the 16+256GB at 4,699 yuan, and the 16+512GB at 4,999 yuan. The Magic 6 Pro also offers three versions, with the 12+256GB priced at 5,699 yuan, the 16+512GB at 6,199 yuan, and the 16GB+1TB at 6,699 yuan. The Honor Magic 6 series pre-sale begins at 9:08 p.m. tonight, with the official launch scheduled for 10:08 a.m. on January 18.
