Samsung announced its brand new Galaxy A52s 5G in 2021, August 17. The phone was released in 2021, September 01 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, and 128GB 6GB RAM as a base version. The initial price for Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G in the US is 500 USD.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G design is highly inspired by the Galaxy S21 family, the same as its A52 predecessor, but there’s no big improvement. Actually, the phone is just the same dimensions and weight as the Galaxy A52 launched in 2021, march. The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is still IP67 water/dust resistant for up to 1 m and 30 mins. The actual difference is the frame which is now made from metal. We loved the phone design, it feels premium in the hand.

Performance

The performance is where Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G really shines. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is a very capable SoC. Comparing it to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G we’ve seen some impressive performance gains, and better power efficiency. Display

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G screen is 6.5 inches Super AMOLED with a resolution of FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels). The screen is very fast thanks to its refresh rate of 120hz, the touch sampling rate of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is 240hz. The screen is bright in 800 nits (High Brightness Mode). The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer and scores 405 pixels per inch. The screen also covers 84.9% of the surface area. Rear Camera

Speaking of the cameras, we think Samsung made great decisions with the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. The main sensor is 64 MP, F1.8 with optical image stabilization (OIS) which will be great for recording videos. Sadly the phone still records at 4K@30fps maximumly. The other three cameras are 12 MP ultrawide with an aperture of F2.2, 123˚ field of view, and a pixel size of 1.12µm. 5 MP macro, with F2.4 aperture size. The last one is 5 MP for depth measurements, Awith F2.4. We can’t wait to review the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G.

Front Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has a great front camera. The single 32 MP with a wide lens is great for taking selfies. It can record 4K footage with 30 frames per second, and we think it will do a great job for bloggers and selfie-takers.

Battery

Samsung didn’t put too much effort into the battery department. The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G battery is just the same as Galaxy A52 and Galaxy S20 FE. Just 4500 mAh, with a fast 25-watt charger, luckily, it is still included in the box. We expect the battery life to be 6 to 8 hours of moderate usage with 120hz on.

Audio

Stereo speakers are a must these days. And the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G delivers. The phone has two speakers, one at the bottom and one at the top. The phone also supports the 3.5mm headphone jack. We love to see these features in mid-range phones.
