In August 2024, the Tecno company launched its new budget 4G phone known as the Tecno Spark Go 1. The phone which is also known as Tecno Pop 9 equips a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by the 12nm Unisoc T615 processor and runs on Android 14 (Go edition) operating system with HIOS 14 UI. The Tecno Spark Go 1 smartphone offers 3GB to 4GB of RAM with 64GB to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage with a microSDXC card slot.
The phone also has an IP54 rating, dust and splash resistance, and costs around $95 (Rs 7,999 in India) approximately. As for the battery life, the phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 15W wired charging support. The Tecno Spark Go 1 phone is available in Startrail Black and Glittery White colours. For clicking photos or selfies, the phone has a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie lens on the front.
