Unlike the competition, they reduced the price by half, but as a repellent effect, other aspects such as performance, battery and screen also They are disadvantages. But it does not conclude whether the Blackview Hero 10 would be a good option. Let’s not make quick assumptions and delve into the following review to make an informed decision.
Blackview Hero 10 smartphone review

Design and display
At first impression, the Blackview Hero 10 doesn’t look like a standard phone thanks to the matte finish back panel. Additionally, you will also find a small 1.19-inch OLED display on the back that will display notifications, time, battery percentage, and other things. You can customize this circular screen from the UI settings and add custom always-on features.
As for the color variants, you can pick this phone with two interesting paint jobs, including black and purple. Like most foldable phones, Blackview follows the same design. Still, the metal hinge looks quite exquisite, while the power button and volume controls are present on the top panel. Not forgetting that the power button works as a fingerprint scanner.
However, the thick bezels are noticeable on the screen. However, the front camera didn’t look that big on the 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED display. As far as real-time content consumption is concerned, the phone did not cause any issues or lose resolution. The brightness level is not that bad, especially when you use the phone outdoors. However, not having a faster refresh rate could be considered a downgrade.
Memory and internal
If you think that visualization is not the strong point, you may be wrong. The hardware department is something where smartphone markers cut most corners. To be precise, the Blackview Hero 10 is powered by the Helio G99 chipset. Although there is no problem with the chip. But the biggest concern would be the overall performance and 4G connectivity. Yes, you heard right, the phone did not offer 5G bands.
Regardless, the phone will work great for making calls, streaming content, and normally scrolling through social media. But on the other hand, the device will have problems, especially if you are interested in playing mobile games. Apart from a somewhat decent customization option, the Android 13-based DokeOS 4 interface did not bring anything special. There is no doubt that it modifies the appearance of the interface and custom functions.
But still, there are limits to what you can change in the interface. Hopefully, smartphone manufacturers did not hesitate to provide enough storage and RAM capacity to the Blackview Hero 10 phone. You will get 256GB UFS 2.2 storage with 12GB RAM. At first you might think it’s a good combination. But actually this configuration is generally used in mid-range phones.
Camera
Camera capability is one of the main things that a smartphone buyer notices when purchasing any phone. In the case of the Blackview Hero 10, you will find a dual camera setup with a 108MP main camera lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. With this setup, it is possible to record videos up to 1440p and the native camera app offers a variety of features. You can choose from different modes to capture your beautiful moments.
The main lens can click attractive photos with the updated camera AI software, especially the image quality in daylight has improved. But when it comes to low-light photography, the real struggle begins as you won’t be able to capture precise details and vibrant colors. But the worst thing is that grains and background noise are noticeable. Still, colors are accurate and HDR will provide sharp contrast in every shot.
As for the video recording experience, there are multiple video recording modes. The lack of video stabilization makes the overall recording average. Still, if you hold the phone correctly, you won’t notice any problems. Anyway, the 32MP selfie lens presents excellent colors, contrast and tones when taking shots. But you can only record up to 1080p videos from the front camera.
Battery and others
The Blackview Hero 10 offers a slim body and due to this, you only get a 4000 mAh battery configuration. Thanks to this, the average user can expect up to four hours of screen time. However, battery drain will be faster, especially during gaming and social media use. However, the 45W wired charger can recharge the battery from dead to 90% in less than an hour.
Although, the phone didn’t have many advantages to begin with. Still, smartphone manufacturers offer decent Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. As far as sound output is concerned, the stereo speakers are not that loud. Still, they work quite well during audio and video calls. Last but not least, it has NFC support. At the moment we are reviewing the Blackview Hero 10, the price is around $352 (Rs 29,400 in India) approximately.

Conclusion
At first impression, the Blackview Hero 10 may seem like a standard foldable phone, while the hardware section brings an average chipset. But the positive point would be the impressive display, aesthetic appearance and fast charging. You can expect a decent viewing experience with increased storage support. However, this is a decent foldable smartphone and costs less than $400. Like most Blackview phones, performance is also neglected in this phone.
Like most Blackview phones, the company tries to offer the best configuration in the closest price range. They also marketed this phone as a foldable phone. But despite this, it has become just another basic phone. If you’re looking for an alternative option, check out the Tecno Phantom V Flip foldable smartphone, but it will cost a little more.
Still, if you want a value-for-money foldable phone, go for the Blackview Hero 10 phone. However, you may not get the best features and specifications based on the price. In the meantime, opting for the Hero 10 is a personal choice, so evaluate your needs for a phone to make an informed decision.
