In late July 2024, the Nothing company launched a 5G smartphone known as the Nothing Phone (2a). On the front, you get a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that can reach up to 1300 nits of peak brightness under direct sunlight. The display also supports up to 1 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a brightness of 700-1300 nits. A Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an IP54 rating are also present on this phone. and The Phone (2a) Plus will be available in Black and Gray color options. The device is powered by a 4nm Mediatek Dimensity 7350 Pro SoC which can clock up to 2×3.0 GHz. For RAM and storage, the Nothig Phone (2a) Plus smartphone is available to purchase in 8GB to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage while there is no card slot.
As for the software, the smartphone runs on Android 14 operating system with Nothing OS 2.6 user interface for better customization. The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus sports a 50MP dual rear camera system with a 50MP sensor as the primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. At the front, you get an immersive 50MP selfie camera. As for video recording, the phone can record a maximum of 4K videos at 30 FPS from both the rear camera and the selfie camera while the primary camera has gyro-EIS support.
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery that can cover you for at least 1-2 days with light usage including some social media, texting, and some light browsing. Thankfully, the smartphone has support for 50W wired fast charging, which will fully recharge the battery in 56 minutes. Apart from that, the phone also has dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, OTG, stereo speakers, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
