The back panel has a frosted matte finish that looks quite good. The back panel only has the Vivo logo at the bottom and the camera module at the top.
The smartphone is available in two colors: black, blue and silver. All buttons are on the right side. The SIM slot, speaker and microphone are located at the bottom. On the front, the smartphone has a 6.64-inch IPS display supporting a high refresh rate of 120Hz. This is an IPS panel with FHD+ resolution and is color corrected. Thus, using the device and viewing content on the screen will be a pleasure.
Memory and internal
Vivo equipped the Vivo Y100t with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G chipset. This is a performance-oriented chipset. This chipset is capable of clocking speeds of 1×3.1 GHz, which is quite high compared to other smartphones in this budget. In terms of performance, the chipset will run quickly with any application or game.
You can multitask with multiple apps in the background and still won’t encounter any slowdown. As for gaming, the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU will allow you to play games like PUBGm, Summoners War, CODm, and even Genshin Impact with higher graphical fidelity. Since it has a 5G chipset, the smartphone is 5G ready and can easily reach gigabit speeds.
5G connectivity will also significantly reduce latency and help improve multiplayer gaming. The smartphone also comes with Android 13 along with OriginOS 3 UI. Being a 2024 smartphone, it should have had Android 14 out of the box. In terms of memory and storage, the Vivo Y100t is available for purchase with up to 8GB to 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera
Vivo equipped the Vivo Y100t with a 64MP rear camera setup. The 64MP main camera is capable of taking incredible photos that tend to have high levels of detail, accurate colors, and a higher dynamic range compared to other smartphones in the same price range. Subject detail levels are consistent with background detail levels.
The photos appear to be of good quality. There is a secondary 2MP depth sensor that can improve portrait photos a bit. Then there is Night Mode built into the camera app and it can significantly improve image quality at night. For selfies, the Vivo Y100t is equipped with a 16MP selfie camera. This selfie camera takes great close-up selfies.
These selfies often have fine details and natural color tones. For video recording, the rear camera can record videos with a maximum resolution of 4K at 30 FPS. While the selfie camera can record videos with a maximum resolution of 1080P at 30 FPS. The rear camera also has OIS and allows for stable video recording.
Battery and others
The Vivo Y100t has a high-capacity 5000 mAh battery. It can provide a full day’s battery life with light to medium use. But playing a lot of games will drain the battery much faster, so it won’t last a full day. This is a performance and gaming oriented smartphone, so you can’t expect more battery life than this. Playing games will drain the battery quickly.
But that shouldn’t worry you as the smartphone supports 120W wired fast charging. It can fully charge the smartphone in less than 40 minutes. Apart from that, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone will start at $240 (Rs 19,990 in India) approximately.

Conclusion
The Vivo Y100t was designed with performance and gaming in mind, and Vivo managed to achieve that and much more. The raw performance of this smartphone is unprecedented and cannot be matched by other smartphones in the same price range. On top of that, the smartphone offers a solid design, a great display, and excellent battery life.
The advantages don’t end here. Even the camera performance is more than decent. The same goes for the ultra-fast charging of this smartphone. However, there are also some disadvantages. The smartphone lacks any type of screen protection or protection against dust and water. Another disadvantage is that the smartphone may not be available globally. But considering everything it offers, the price is pretty good.
The best alternative to this smartphone is the Vivo Y78t. This is because the new Vivo Y100t is actually a clone of the Vivo Y78t. So if you can’t buy the Vivo Y100t in countries outside of China, you can buy the Y78t, which will be launched globally and you will get the same features and capabilities. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
