Honor Magic6 Pro and Magic V2 RSR in Europe
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, Honor made waves with the launch of a series of innovative smart devices aimed at reshaping the consumer experience. Led by Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor Terminal Co Ltd, the company unveiled a strategic shift towards human-centric and AI-powered products designed to address consumer needs and pain points.
The centerpieces of Honor’s display were the Honor Magic6 Pro smartphone and the AI-powered PC, Honor MagicBook Pro 16. Ming emphasized the company’s commitment to providing open and seamless experiences in the era of AI, promising industry-leading capabilities to push the limits of human-computer interaction.
One of the featured devices, the Honor Magic6 Pro, caught attention not only for its cutting-edge features but also for its pricing strategy. Priced at €1,299 (approximately 10,120 yuan) for the global market, the device marked a significant increase compared to its Chinese-branded counterpart, which starts at Rs. 5,699. This pricing strategy reflects recent moves by competitors like Xiaomi, who similarly nearly doubled the price of their Xiaomi 14 series for international markets.
Another highlight was the introduction of the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design foldable phone, positioned as a premium offering in the global market. Priced at 2,699 euros (approximately Rs 21,030), the device exceeded the cost of its domestic version, which starts at 15,999 yuan, by a significant margin. Despite the higher price, Honor aims to attract consumers with the appeal of luxury and innovation, integrating Porsche design elements into the device.
In addition to the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design foldable phone, Honor teased the upcoming launch of the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design. The device promises to incorporate iconic Porsche design elements, further cementing Honor’s commitment to combining technological innovation with aesthetic appeal.
