Honor MagicOS 8.0 unleashes cutting-edge AI-powered features
Honor MagicOS 8.0 Introduction
In a revolutionary move, Honor officially launched MagicOS 8.0, a pioneering mobile system in AI-based intent recognition for human-machine interaction. This cutting-edge technology, which will be available on Honor 50 to 100 series and Magic3, 4 and 5 series, promises a seamless experience with its innovative “Any Door” feature.
MagicOS 8.0 introduces platform-level AI-enhanced arbitrary gate functionality, allowing users to effortlessly navigate between apps with a single long press and swipe. This feature streamlines multitasking, significantly reducing operational steps and time.
The “Any Door” feature supports a diverse range of services including taxi booking, browsing, searching, shopping, decrypting, printing, sharing and global collection. This versatility meets different user needs, improving the overall user experience.
One of the highlights of this release is the Honor Magic Model, a large, self-searching on-device AI model with an impressive 7 billion parameters. This model, which debuts on the Honor Magic6 series, is exclusive to devices equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen3.
The Magic Model facilitates local operations, enabling intelligent functions such as image recognition, map search, schedule management and many more. Additionally, Honor has established a broad ecosystem of model services, promoting secure collaboration between multiple models. Strategic partnerships, such as with Baidu Intelligent Cloud, contribute to the growth of this ecosystem.
MagicOS 8.0 introduces the Spirit Capsule feature, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, providing a concise display of important information in eight categories. The “three-finger slide, all can be collected” feature allows users to effortlessly capture web pages, videos, documents, images and text for multi-device access.
Other notable features include “My Day” for intelligent schedule organization, full device interconnection with the MagicRing Trust Ring supporting up to 8 service concurrency lanes, and a new spatial touch effect for an interface natural and elegant user.
Security enhancements include an improved Parallel Space feature and features such as permission minimization recommendations, monthly privacy reports, anti-scam and anti-hooligan software, and anti-Shake ads. MagicOS 8.0 UI improvements encompass three new features: Magic Lock Screen, Changeable Desktop, and Smart Table.
